Work has started at Harpwood Care Home in Sevenoaks, Kent for Graham Care which will provide 100 suite rooms. The site has an existing care home and is also situated in the Green Belt so there were many careful considerations during the design phase, and now during development. NATTA is the contractor who Carless + Adams will be working with.

The development is split over 2 phases. Phase 1 is building 60 suites across 3 storeys and once this phase is complete, the residents of the existing care home will move across into the new building. Phase 2 starts with the demolition of the existing care home, the remaining 40 suites constructed and the gardens landscaped and planted. As the existing care home is in use until the end of phase 1 the works have been planned to keep disruption to the minimum whilst providing visual interest and stimulation to the residents. The design of the new build will provide a greater level of care and independence for the residents, and a safer and more secure environment for the staff to enable them to provide the person centered care the operator requires.
