As the refurbishments are taking place in an occupied operating care home, it has been essential to reduce the impact of the works on the residents. Dust, noise and the overall safety of the residents has been mitigated successfully by installing floor to ceiling solid hoarding, adhering to a robust site cleaning schedule and using lower-noise power tools. This segregation means that the site constraints for the site workers are considerable, but regular checks by our CDM Advisor and the Principal Contractor have helped manage the health and safety of the site operatives.
