Carless + Adams embraced the opportunity to go back and visit GreenTree Court in Exeter this week. This 72 bed care home, designed by Carless + Adams and constructed in 2014, was the first Care Home in the UK to embrace a living wall as part of the design and it is still as impactful as the day it was installed. Being able to connect to nature either by physically being in it or seeing it through a window has proven therapeutic benefits, which we discussed in more detail in our blog: Connecting with Nature.

This home continues to demonstrate how a care environment does not need to be institutional, just ask the vegetarian resident piranha that greets you in reception….
