Carless + Adams were excited to visit Baycroft operated Carpenders Park care home in Watford last week with Gill Jackson. Gill is an interior designer who, along with her team, has made Carpenders Park practical, welcoming and stylish for dementia residents. Whilst we did not design Carpenders Park, we were enthralled to see the effective use of space to include a cinema, treatment room and gym, landscaped gardens with outdoor terraces to encourage access outside, and the most heart warming inclusion of a creche. The creche is for visiting families to entertain their younger members. We have often talked about the benefits for both parties of intergenerational interaction and are glad to see this in practise. Carpenders Park is nearing completion so we felt it was a great time to see how the interior and exterior designs complement one another for the benefit of residents and care workers.
