As lead designer, Carless+Adams has worked with Kyn to create a Tender Pack for the extension and refurbishment of an 86 bed care home in Bromley.

As lead designer, Carless+Adams has successfully directed the design team in producing the Tender Pack for an extension and refurbishment of Lauriston House, an 86 bed care home at Kyn Bickley for Bickley Park Road Ltd in Bromley, Kent.

The Tender Pack was started whilst working remotely, through online collaboration for drawing reviews and design team meetings, to enable the design and tender process to progress steadily and be delivered on time. The work for the Tender Pack continued once the team were able to return to the office with a smooth transition from working remotely.

Our client Kyn has the ambition to elevate the care home experience from ordinary to extraordinary which fits with Carless+Adams’ values too. We firmly believe in making care a positive choice and not a last resort decision. The Tender Pack work reinforced the careful consideration that has gone elevating the level of care for its future residents, through providing high end interiors, designed by Nina Campbell, alongside consideration given to the product selection being installed for its residents. Products from Motion Spot are intended to be used to provide accessible solutions, such as shower seats, spot alarms or grab rails, without compromising on style or quality. This means each resident can have their own bespoke care needs met whilst not compromising with the high end care the operators want to achieve. The end goal for us all is creating spaces that are inviting, not just serving a purpose.
