Team Leader, Architectural Designer
I am responsible for the management of a design team and reporting the progress of each project our group. Most of my time is spent designing care homes in compliance with the client’s brief and working with consultants and the local authority to bring proposals to fruition.
Why did you get into architecture?
I have been motivated to pursue a career in architecture having recognised the impact of good design and the influence it has on our environment and lifestyles. I love that this industry offers the opportunity to break walls as well as build them so people can be better integrated with their surroundings. Being part of something that can create a positive social impact feels rewarding and develops sustainable communities.
What do you do outside of Carless + Adams?
As drawing and experiencing culture are two of my favourite things, my best weekends are spent visiting galleries and at the theatre. Often, I’ll need to distract myself with badminton or chess with my family and friends to avoid compulsively baking.
