It’s amazing how receiving planning approval can warm your soul even on the coldest of days! 

Approval has been received for Cornwallis Court in Bury St Edmonds. The two storey, 64 bed care home will be located on the site of an existing care home, developed through a phased approach to minimise disruption to existing residents. In addition to the dining spaces and lounges, the new care and dementia home will also offer a cinema, hair and beauty salon, activity rooms and quiet areas. Externally residents will be able to enjoy the landscape with a wander route and sensory gardens. 

The design and planning has been an interesting process as the site is on a previously used chalk and flint mining area so deep investigation was made to ensure no redundant tunnels were present under the site. And there weren’t any!
