Planning Consent

August 18, 2025|In Carless + Adams

We’re pleased to have obtained planning consent within a Conservation Area for alterations to the side entrance at the London Ikeda Peace Centre, on behalf of SGI-UK.
This minor amendment application brings forward key accessibility and design enhancements, including a new open-style platform lift and stair to enable independent access for wheelchair users and improved access for all visitors and volunteers.
The design embraces inclusive principles, provides a more welcoming and accessible entrance, and introduces contemporary elements that contribute positively to the Centre’s presence within its historic setting.
Thank you to our consultants who have supported us with the detail of this design and we’re excited to move into the next phase to see these improvements brought to life on site.
