Project Brief
Located in the Berkshire countryside, this project for a private client required the demolition of an old cottage, the re-siting and construction of a new 5-bedroom block and brick detached house and a separate building to house an indoor pool
Outcome
With C+A appointed on the project as the Principal Designer, initial demolition had to be managed carefully due the presence of asbestos, but by utilising a licensed removal contractor and adhering to the Demolition Phase Health & Safety Plan the demolition phase was safely completed. The Principal Contractor along with our CDM Advisor worked closely together to reduce the hazards on site, including installing extensive excavation barriers and improvements to site security. With the house now complete, and the project’s final touches are expected to be completed at the end of the autumn.
