Proposal for a new Care Village in Wokingham to replace an existing Care Home currently on the site.

Outcome

Working together through various design iterations, we provided the support and advice required to reach a final design that satisfied the clients brief. Planning permission was granted in 2019 for a Care Home, which included ensuites for each room, resident communal areas, a chapel, shop, cinema and hair and beauty salon; and an Assisted Living building providing 60 outstanding one and two bedroom apartments with shared communal areas, cinema, tea bar and health club including a gym and pool. The design has considered the outside space and is essential in encourage movement between inside and out and embracing natural daylight within the building. Ease of access to balconies and patios gives independence and privacy when required, but also connect the wander routes around the property.

“We have been extremely impressed with your work and designs in bringing Prince Phillip Duke of Edinburgh Court to life. From the outset we have been enthused and delighted with every set of drawings. Your advice and guidance during this, our first major project, has been invaluable and greatly received. Your generosity in continually producing new plans and rethinking designs, sometimes at short notice, has helped enormously.”
