Construction of Sherwood House Phase 1 in Walton-on-Thames is progressing well and is due to be completed in September 2022. The scheme aimed to improve the quality of life for the residents and the operational efficiency of the building.

This started with a thorough assessment of the current and future needs of the home. The design then proposed to re-organise and extend the building, to provide en-suite facilities to existing rooms and additional bedrooms, while improving disabled access both internally and greater connectivity to the re-landscaped gardens.

Phase 1 of the scheme consists of the erection of the two new wings and includes an additional 38 bed care home and facilities such as Lounge, Dining, Nostalgia Room, Treatment Room, Nurse Station, Drugs Stores, Staff Ancillary, Plant Room and utilizing the site to minimise its impact on the surrounding neighbourhood.
