Village Green recently had a contractor site inspection and it’s great to see the progression. Village Green is a development of a 60-bed care home and modifications to the Grade II listed building. The demolition phase is complete which is huge for the redevelopment and the on-site team has transitioned into the construction phase to keep groundwork on track. Concrete is being poured to form the beginning of the new foundations.

The removal of the single-story extension will enhance the existing facility, allowing for a new entrance and arrival area in the home. Bedrooms, designed in accordance with current care standards, will surround a larger and secure courtyard garden for residents to enjoy. The former village school at the front will be incorporated into the care home, serving as a communal lounge/dining facility for current residents.
